It seems that British consumers in the age gap from 50-to-60 are most financially sound in the entire adult segment. This fact has been made on the basis of a recent study conducted by a leading financial provider.

London, 6th July, 2007: If figures are to be believed, then people in their late fifties seem to be better off than their younger counterparts. Statistics from YouGov further collaborate to this point.

It appears that, about 19 per cent of those in their 50s have more freedom in deciding a social life of their choice, whereas, only 8 per cent of 18-24 year olds can claim the same privilege. And that's not all; apparently only two per cent of young Britishers can afford to splurge on luxuries as compared to their older counterparts.

By all means, it seems that people in their 50s have more financial freedom. This trend can be attributed to the fact that most of these people have a healthy pension fund that will make their retirement plans more comfortable.
