According to a research conducted by
UCB Home Loans, around two-thirds of young Britons
want to buy a house when they are 25 to 30 years old.
The rest of the respondents want to buy a house outside
the UK.
70% of the people in the UK own a house. According
to Keith Astill, managing director of UCB Home Loans,
many of the respondents might not be able to buy a
house when they are between 25 and 30. The good thing
is that many respondents of the survey who want to
buy a property abroad are likely to achieve what they
are wishing for.
The survey reveals that 92% of students believe that
they will be able to buy a house, whereas only 87%
of those who are already working believe that they
will achieve this. Almost half of the respondents
believe that the price of their house will not be
more than £150,000 which is very close to the
average house price in the UK.
